Honestly it started from watching too many talented people — designers, photographers, content creators — with real work and zero visibility. Everything scattered across Instagram grids, half-updated Behance pages, a Drive folder they'd send when someone asked. No single place that actually represented what they do, and building a proper site from scratch meant time, money, and skills most creatives don't have. The problem we were solving wasn't really "how do creatives make a portfolio" — plenty of tools do that. It was "how do creatives get found." A portfolio that just sits there waiting to be shared isn't doing much work for you. So the core idea became inverting that: instead of a creative chasing brands and clients, Discovery lets brands and scouts come find them directly through the platform. The approach definitely evolved along the way. We started narrowly focused on the templates and portfolio-building side, and Discovery came later once it was clear that was the actual differentiator, not just a nice add-on. On the go-to-market side too — early on we were just writing scattered ad copy and headers, and it grew into a proper content and affiliate strategy once we understood which channels and creator partnerships actually moved the needle, rather than just posting and hoping.
