What inspired you to build this? The creator economy has exploded, but most opportunities still flow to a small group of large influencers. Meanwhile, thousands of talented nano and micro creators struggle to discover brand partnerships, and brands struggle to find authentic voices that genuinely connect with their audience. I saw a clear gap between brands looking for real engagement and creators looking for meaningful opportunities. Createl was built to bridge that gap. What problem were you trying to solve? For creators, the biggest challenge is access. Many talented creators never get discovered because they don’t have large follower counts or agency representation. For brands, the challenge is efficiency and trust. Finding the right creators, verifying authenticity, managing campaigns, and measuring results can be time-consuming and expensive. Createl simplifies both sides by creating a marketplace where brands can discover creators based on relevance and engagement rather than just follower count, while creators gain direct access to opportunities that would otherwise be difficult to find. How did your approach or process evolve while working on this launch? Initially, the vision was focused on creator discovery. As we spoke with creators and brands, we realized the bigger challenge wasn’t discovery alone, it was creating a complete collaboration ecosystem. Our focus expanded from simply matching brands and creators to building tools around campaign management, rewards, referrals, verification, and long-term relationships. The biggest lesson was that both sides wanted simplicity. Every feature we added had to answer a simple question: does this help creators earn more easily or help brands achieve better results? That principle guided every product decision leading up to launch.
