City Rush just came out for iOS, and it's a great test case for comparing modern-classic gaming against a mobile-first game. (I linked to a direct port of the Dreamcast version of Crazy Taxi as well).
I'm sure there are other examples of old games getting ported, and then remade, I'd love to hear about em.
