The value of CoughPro for chronic coughers (with COPD, congestive heart failure, asthma, pulmonary fibrosis, etc) is intuitive, I’ve been also using the cough tracking app during my acute respiratory infections (covid, acute viral bronchitis). Objectively observing if cough rate was increasing/decreasing, and if I coughed at night was very useful. It reassured me that I was getting better and that there was no need to start some new medications and that the condition is not getting complicated.

@vanilla_swirl7 Me too! I'm not a "cougher" per se, but when exercising in cold weather (or cooking with tons of chilies!) I sometimes cough till I lose my breath. It's great to have a tool to measure what's happening and compare episodes.

We step on a scale when we want to track our weight. We stick a thermometer in our mouth when we wonder if we have a fever. Lots of us track our sleeping and alcohol consumption. But till apps like CoughPro came along there was nothing that helps people know if their cough is staying the same, getting better, or worse. And what are their cough patterns that they can learn more about to better manage their cough. New ways to measure and learn about cough. New ways to empower coughers to manage their cough. A new community to find support, wisdom, and inspiration. Very cool!
