Cosmic Horizon is a 3D universe explorer for iPhone and iPad. Fly from the Solar System through the Milky Way and the Laniakea Supercluster to the observable universe, built on real catalogs of about 500,000 stars and more than 400,000 galaxies.

Hi Product Hunt 👋 I'm Jacky, the maker of Cosmic Horizon, a 3D universe explorer for iPhone and iPad.
The idea is not just to look at the universe, but to fly through it: one continuous flight from a planet in the Solar System, through the Milky Way, the Local Group and the Virgo and Laniakea superclusters, all the way to the edge of the observable universe. Anywhere in between, you can pick an object out of the catalog and fly to it. More than 20 orders of magnitude in a single motion, without the scene falling apart along the way.
What you can fly to:
• The Sun, the planets and their moons, from real orbital and physical data
• About half a million real stars, placed in 3D from the Hipparcos and Gaia DR3 catalogs
• Hundreds of thousands of galaxies from real surveys, plus thousands of star clusters and nebulae
• Exoplanet systems, and multiple-star systems such as Sirius and Castor
One note on the data: past about a billion light-years the galaxy surveys run out, so the cosmic web there is a statistical model built from gravity simulations rather than a map of real structures.
I'd love to hear what felt smooth, what felt confusing, and where you'd like to fly next.
