Copytesting is an audience research tool focused on website copy. It tells you what your target audience thinks of your website copy, gives you quantified data on where your copy falls short, and why. So you could fix it, and improve your conversion rate.
This is awesome! Excited to try this out. How do you think about the advantages of using this relative to A/B testing homepage variants where the only variants are copy changes?
@sachinrekhi The best way to think about it is that it's an audience research tool. What A/B testing (if you have the transaction volume for it) tells you is if B is better than A, Copytesting tells you in a granular way where your copy is lacking, and what are the specific problems with it.

@peeplaja I'd like to know more about your "quantitative" approach, vs. a qualitative approach. In other words, shouldn't qualitative be included in this, especially since it's nuanced and touches on user-intent? Please explain what "quantitative" data you're using to steer someone towards better copy. It's a reasonable question I think.
@zacchaeusnifong It's mostly qualitative, but we use likert scale to rate clarity and relevance (value proposition) of content blocks as well. The Likert scale is a statistical technique that measures qualitative variables through a quantitative scale.
So we calculate statistical significance on whether a particular copy block is clear/unclear and whether people care or dont care about arguments in a block or not.
The concept is awesome. However, not understanding how it works. Will my actual users be asked to give feedback? If it will instead be your panelists, then how do you ensure it matches my target audience?
@nikunj_speaks It's not your users, but people similar to your users. We have some pre-made audiences (e.g. travel), and soon adding options to build your own custom panel
This is awesome - a long-missing tool in the conversion/growth marketer's toolbox. Copy is one of the easiest things to change thanks to content management systems and A/B testing tools, but you never really knew what to test in place of what existed. Now, you can bring quantified understanding to identify the best opportunities to improve your results. Congrats @peeplaja on building for a true need out there!
@morganb Thanks Morgan, means a lot coming from you!

I was a part of some of the beta testing of this tool.
I used it to help my clients (I do conversion optimization work). I LOVED IT.
In short, it's the simplest way I've been able to bridge the gap between doing customer research and then *turning that into great, money-making copy*
Peep is a CRO badass, and this product reflects his experience and fills a gap that is needed. Love it.
