I’ve worked with a lot of amazing independents, and there’s one common theme I keep seeing: they all love the work, but actually finding relevant opportunities is often the hardest part.

Over the last five years, Contra has built a platform for independents to work without commissions or walled gardens.

Indy AI is the newest part of that.

It surfaces opportunities sitting right in your own network. The kind most people would miss while scrolling job boards.

When I first downloaded Indy, it surfaced two opportunities from LinkedIn and X I'd completely missed. I ended up sharing both with people in my network who were a perfect fit. That moment really sold me on what Indy can do!

Our early testers have already uncovered incredible projects this way, and I think it’s going to change how a lot of freelancers find work.

I’m incredibly proud of the work we’ve done here. Seeing it go from prototype to launch, and already helping independents find real gigs has been absolutely surreal.

Maybe I'm biased, but to me, this is one of the best use cases of AI I've ever seen. Quiet, in the background, doing the boring work while we humans focus on what truly makes us human.
