Search and filter through comment sections on Youtube Videos. I always found it frustrating to see if a question I had or topic I was interested in commenting on was already in the comments section of a Youtube video somewhere. In order to do a CTRL-F to search for text, you had to load the infinitely scrolling list (infinitely it seemed like) in order to search through all the comments. This was really annoying if the comments section was large. So I built this web app which allows you to enter a Youtube video URL and download a searchable list of comments for the video. You can quickly filter the comments by text, date, like count or author. Some of the most interesting things I've learned have been buried in comments sections of videos or articles, so being able to search through them was something I wanted to be able to do. Find a video on a topic you have an interest in and see what you can discover deep in the comments section - you never know what insightful tip or information you could find. Youtube content creators may also find this useful as a tool to search through comments sections on their videos. There is a dashboard where you can save comments (for example, you can create folders for comments that need to be reviewed, responded to, or of note for some reason). Future plans include the ability for channel owners to ban and delete comments. For now, there is a dummy Stripe payment layer that is not active (just enter the placeholder numbers shown on the payment page, and you will get full access for free). I'm looking and asking for feedback - especially from content creators on Youtube to see if this is something that they might find useful and helpful. Otherwise, it can be an entertaining tool if you curious what lurks in the comments section and could be useful for research or just entertainment. Please let me know what you think and thank you for taking the time to check the app out.
