Hey! I built Collectopedia because I was tired of guessing what my collection was worth. I have an eclectic collection of vinyl, video games, 80s toys, 90s roller blading memorabilia and vintage Warhammer. Whilst I used Discogs for my records and PriceCharting for my games I couldn't find a service that provided accurate pricing data for the rest of my collection, so I relied on a spreadsheet and manual searches of eBay. Alongside hunting down collectables, I also love the 'financial' side of collecting and buy and sell to fund my addiction to the plastic crack - it felt like none of the existing tools really lean into this side of the hobby. So I thought I'd build a solution, initially for myself but as it came together I realised other people with wide ranging collections might find it useful too. Collectopedia launches with 35 categories ranging from Action Figures to Watches - I think theres a niche for a service that brings together your entire collection with the same market intelligence that stock investors take for granted. I'm actively building based on what collectors actually need and would love your feedback on what features would make this indispensable for your collection.

I'm an early user of Collectopedia, James got me involved as he knew I used to buy/sell vinyl and trading cards.

I'd fallen out of it since having a child, too much admin involved that had taken the fun out of it. But now I'm back into things, and really glad for this app. It's back to feeling like trading or being able to quickly decide if I want to get new items or exchange stuff I'd forgotten about.
