Coddy teaches you to code with short, interactive lessons you actually finish. 20+ languages (Python, JS, C++, SQL, Rust, Go...), a real code editor in the browser with test cases, streaks, weekly leagues and Bugsy - an AI tutor that gives hints, not answers. Everything is free with a daily limit, on web, iOS and Android. 5M+ learners so far. Product Hunt visitors get 50% off any plan for 72h, applied automatically.

@barakglanz Such a clean interface reminds me of the good parts of language apps, congrats for launch🙌
@priya_kushwaha1 thank you :) im glad you liked it!
@barakglanz Curious- What’s the biggest difference between Cody and traditional coding platforms ?
@dipanshu_kushwaha5 Good question! Biggest one is size of the bites. Most platforms are built around long videos or long lessons, and most people drop off somewhere in week 2. Coddy (not cody ;) ) is a few minutes a day, you write real code from the first minute, and streaks + leagues make you come back tomorrow. Basically we optimized for "still learning in 3 months" over "finished a course in a weekend"
Second is Bugsy, our AI tutor - it explains why your code fails and nudges you, but wont give you the answer. Feels slower but thats where the actual learning happens
@barakglanz What a brilliant idea! So awesome to see such a traditionally overwhelming skill becoming more accessible
Hi all, I like your approach to learning how to code by small increments. A couple of questions:
1) how do you determine the coding challenges? Have you all looked into "coding katas" that was popular many years ago?
2) what's the progression? Are you going for mastery of the language itself, or is there some sort of choose your own adventure, where the user can choose to learn to code to achieve a specific goal, like shipping a website or mobile app?
@sara_ford_goog Hi Sara, great questions!
Each lesson ends with small exercises that run against test cases, so you only pass when your code actually works. And yes (first time someone brings it up :) ), katas are very much the spirit of it - small, focused reps you repeat until they're second nature. We also have daily challenges that reuse what you learned so it sticks.
Both. You can go deep on one language from basics to advanced, or follow goal-based paths like building a website, where courses from different languages chain together. 🙂
@barakglanz @ntnlbar Nice launch guys. Bugsy refusing to just dump the answer is probably one of the better ways to use ai in coding education. Otherwise you’re just getting really good at copying code you don’t understand.
@harshyadav We see it in the data too - people who get hints... come back way more
It's a great product. My daughter is using it to learn C# and is very happy with it.
@yoav_ezer Thanks Yoav, this made my morning! C# is a great pick, tell her she's officialy part of the CoddyFam now 😄
In the era of vibe coding, it’s honestly refreshing to see products like this
The AI tutor feature sounds interesting — how does it handle it when someone gets stuck?
Also Codd(y) is such a cute name haha
Big congratulations to the whole team on the launch! Excited to see how many people end up learning to code with it.
@suryansh_tiwari2 Thanks Suryansh! Our ai tutor gives hints until the points it feels the learner is too frustrated and at this point he offers a solution, everything is integrated with real interactive platform when they can code and do much more :) 5 million and counting!
@ntnlbar Wow what an idea This is genuinely such a unique approach
I can see how even a kid could learn coding this way haha
And 5M users is already a huge number
Wishing you guys the best and hoping to see Cody reach 10M 15M and 20M users soon and help even more people learn to code
@suryansh_tiwari2 Thank you so much, Suryansh! Really appreciate the kind words and support. Onward to 10M! 🚀
@ntnlbar go go go
Nice! Contrary to what you hear in the hype cycle, coding isn't going away. Maybe the physical act of typing code but understanding what you are doing will stick around for quite a while. Having a neat tool that helps you learn is a good thing in my opinion!
Super cool! So is it like Duolingo but for coding?
@tal_peleg Thanks Tal! Exactly ;)
