CmdRound is an assessment platform for hiring managers. You send a candidate a link and they get 55 minutes with Claude Code to implement industry-standard work in a real codebase. Each task is tailor-made to measure how good a candidate is at combining their engineering skills with agents. At the end of the assessment you get a score on four plain questions and a replay of every call they made. Scoring is rule-based, with no LLM judge. $49 for 10 candidates, one-time, lasts a year.

Hey Product Hunt, I'm James.
Over the last few years artificial intelligence has changed how we engineers work. Most of us now build with an agent next to us. But most hiring tests still switch the agent off and hand you a puzzle.
So I built CmdRound. A recruiter sends a link, and the candidate gets a codebase, a task and 55 minutes with Claude Code. We record the prompts, every diff they approved or rejected, how long they looked before saying yes, and when the tests went red and back to green. Then we score it on four questions:
Do they verify the AI's work?
Does the work hold up?
How do they recover when it breaks?
How do they direct the agent?
You get the score and the replay. The candidate installs nothing and pays nothing.
You can play the demo round yourself at cmdround.com. If you hire engineers, I'd love to hear what you'd want to see in the replay that isn't there yet.
