Hola Product Hunt! I've used 1 Second Everyday on my iPhone for 8 years. Every month I created a 3-5 minute video of my kids, and every birthday I compiled a shorter version of their lives so far. It's wonderful to be able to share it with friends and family who live far away, and to look back at older videos and see how the kids have changed. However, I got really frustrated with 1SE. For example, I had to edit videos on my tiny phone screen instead of my huge monitor. Clips are limited to 10s, and I could work around that by pasting the same clip multiple times, but then I'd have to nudge the scrubber to the millisecond, which was a lot of unnecessary work. 1SE also got less and less ergonomic over time, requiring more and more taps just to add something. So I decided to build my own version. I'm an experienced software engineer, but doing all of the implementation myself would still have been a big time commitment. With how fast AI has been progressing, I decided to use Claude Code to build it instead. I'm really happy with the result, and I've already used it to make 2 monthly videos. The code is open source and it's completely free to use.
