Clapper is a free take logger you run from your phone on set. Tap to log every take, circle your GOLD selects, and it auto-numbers the camera clips as you shoot. At wrap it exports a Premiere-ready XML, a CSV, and a clean PDF, so the editor gets your log without deciphering handwriting. No install, no account to log takes. It keeps working offline when the set has no signal. Built for script supervisors, ADs, and anyone tired of paper logs that fall apart by the third setup.
Took it for a spin on a small shoot yesterday and the offline mode actually held up when the set had zero bars. The PDF export came out clean enough that my editor stopped texting me follow up questions, which is the highest praise I can give.
@eyll09641878946 this made my day. "editor stopped texting follow-up questions" is the exact reason I built it, so hearing it survive a real set with no bars means a lot.
I hate keeping shoot logs by hand too, that's the whole origin story. Try Script Mode next: drop your script in as a PDF and it turns each scene into tappable tags and key moments. And the Premiere XML export, give that file to your editor and they get your whole shoot as a sequence already on the timeline.
Tell me what felt clunky if you try them. Honest feedback from someone who's used it on set is what I want most right now.
Could be really useful for my scripty work. One thing that would help a lot is letting two people log takes at the same time from different phones and merging the logs automatically at wrap, since sometimes the AD and I are covering different setups and end up duplicating entries.
@enolacunkgli Yeah! that is in the works, might take afew days. This launch is to actually know would people use this. people will get to see the project in sync with signins. Thanks allot Şenol, your interest is making me more positive about this project.
