Here we are, I think we can finally say that we have a top-notch AI infrastructure at Claap But it hasn’t been the smoothest ride... A little over a year ago, when we started connecting ChatGPT to Claap, we did what everyone else was doing... That is, we played around with the OpenAI APIs without thinking much about architecture or advanced prompt engineering. Basically, it was level 0—barely more advanced than my grandma trying to chat with ChatGPT A few months of optimizing our prompts later, we managed to reach level 1 without too much trouble. Heck yeah The results were already impressive and affordable, thanks to genAI! However, with a production app handling massive amounts of data (thousands of hours of calls) for a large user base (hello Claapers), we quickly ran into limitations… Among them: testing, “lost in the middle” issues, advanced knowledge retrieval, output formatting, and many more… We then entered a pretty taxing phase where we tried to solve all these problems on our own, reinventing the wheel. And, to be honest, with mixed results. That’s when we decided to put on our glasses and go back to school to learn the theory behind genAI and its proper implementation from scratch... After several months of training, implementing market best practices, and rethinking everything we knew, here we are: we’ve reached level 3.
