Meet the kinds of people you want to meet

Finding people you get along with is hard. New to a city? Have interests your friends don't share? Maybe you love to ski, but have no ski buddy. Just wanna grab coffee with a VC or dinner with other people from your country. Set preferences, find your people.

Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I built Cielo because i've moved around a lot and every time i arrive in a new city, it takes me a year or two to build community. Between balancing work, life and everyday tasks, it gets really hard to find a place to meet the people I would get along with. I dont wanna sit at a bar waiting to talk to a 60 year old man or get on Hinge trying to meet people. I just wanna meet people who are into the same stuff I am. I kept thinking: why is it so hard to find a small group of people who share my specific interests? So I created what I wanted to see: a platform for intimate gatherings. Gatherings are a max of 6 people, centered around shared interests. Whether you're looking for fellow jazz enthusiasts, want to explore new restaurants, or just need someone to try that new rock climbing gym with - Cielo helps you find your crew through small group activities. We've been testing in New York with 500+ users, and the stories we're hearing are incredible - from photographers finding their creative collaborators to newcomers building their first friend groups in the city. I'd love to hear your thoughts and feedback! What kind of small group activities would you want to join or host?

Great name, and a good use case for immigrants and transplants! (Now, poor 60 year old haha he may have something great to share!)

@jalcantara thank you! our user demographic is definitely people new to a city. Something interesting we have also noticed is that we actually have a lot of people who are 40+(especially women) which goes to show that the loneliness epidemic is not only in the 20-30s age range but really across a very wide age range
