👋 Hi everyone, @kevin_bunarjo, @brad_brenner, and I are the co-founders of ChoreBux. When building Joon together and talking to a ton of parents & kids, we realized how many kids love Roblox. So much so, that some kids even value Robux (Robloxs' virtual currency) more than actual money. However, we found that one of the largest concerns parents have surrounding video games is the fact that they can lead to their kids neglecting important real-life activities like chores and homework. With 164M monthly active users on Roblox and an average family spend of $21/month per kid on the platform, Roblox is having a monumental impact on kids. With ChoreBux, we set out to create something that aligned the goals of kids and parents, allowing parents to incentivize their children to do chores, directly with Robux. Moreover, we saw this as an opportunity to teach financial literacy using the currency kids are using so much of. Using ChoreBux, kids can redeem Robux every week if they complete all their required chores. More importantly, they can choose to delay gratification and redeem more Robux at a later date. 🎉 Here are some of the features we're building: ✅ A super easy to use task management interface for parents to manage and verify completion of household chores ✅ Separate parent and child sign-on (with different permissions) ✅ A "Robux Saving Account" that grows over time when kids choose the save option ✅ A dashboard that allows parents to visualize their kids' progress ✅ Timely reminders helping kids stick to their routines And many more to come!
