Hi Product Hunt! I'm Emmanuel, the maker of Chercha.
I'm Dominican and I live in the UK. Back home, "chercha" is the relaxed conversation you have with friends: talking, joking, having a good time. That's what I want to help people get to. Not textbook English, but the English people actually use at work, in the street, in series and on WhatsApp. And it changes from place to place: Scotland isn't London, and Texas isn't New York.
Chercha gives you one real expression a day from the regions you choose, on your widget, in a notification and in the app: what it means, a real example, audio in the local accent (with a slow version), a "sounds like" guide for Spanish speakers, and its register, so you know when not to say it. A short AI welcome call of about three minutes (or a quick form) builds your plan around where you live and what you do.
We start with Spanish speakers learning the English of the UK, Ireland and the US, and more language pairs will follow. The people who live in each region rate every expression and tell us whether they hear it there, so what you learn sounds right where you are.
Product Hunt offer: once Chercha is on the App Store, use the code PRODUCTHUNT for 1 month free on the annual plan (new subscribers, instead of the 7-day trial, valid until 31 December 2026). Redeem it in the app ("Redeem code" on the plans screen) or on the App Store.

I'm building Chercha as a solo founder, and I'd love your feedback: which region, or which slang, should we add next?
¡Hola, Product Hunt!
