I built ChargeDetector after discovering I was paying $847/year for subscriptions I'd completely forgotten about. The moment: I was reviewing my credit card statement and spotted three charges I didn't recognize — Adobe CC ($59.99/mo) from a job I left 2 years ago, a streaming service I'd signed up for during a free trial, and a cloud storage plan I'd upgraded and forgotten.
