Hey Product Hunt 👋 I’m the maker of CC Theme. I started this project after noticing a frustrating gap in the way themes for AI desktop apps are shared. Most “themes” are really a reference image plus a prompt. You still have to ask an AI to rebuild the design, spend tokens, adjust the prompt, and retry until the output is usable—and the result can change between runs. CC Theme takes a different approach. We distribute the actual theme as a versioned .cctheme package. Download it, import it into the Mac app, apply it through a compatible adapter, and restore the native appearance whenever you want. Today, CC Theme offers: Ready-made image and video themes No generation prompts or extra AI tokens when applying a theme Validated packages with integrity metadata Compatibility tracked by app, adapter, and client version An open-source codebase and downloadable Apple Silicon Mac app The current release supports documented workflows for ChatGPT Desktop/Codex mode, Tencent WorkBuddy, and Doubao on macOS. Because desktop client updates can change their interfaces, we publish explicit compatibility boundaries instead of pretending every version is guaranteed.
