I’m Iliya, the founder of CarFile.
I built CarFile because managing a vehicle in the UK is still surprisingly fragmented — MOT reminders, tax checks, service history, fuel costs, compliance… it’s all spread across different apps, emails, spreadsheets, and government portals.
The breaking point for me was realizing how easy it is to miss something critical (like MOT expiry) and how expensive that can become — especially for busy drivers and small fleets.
CarFile brings everything into one place:

You add a reg, and Car File syncs live DVLA + MOT history automatically — no manual entry.
It flags upcoming MOT/tax deadlines, tracks service history and running costs, and keeps every document in one place.
The bit I'm proudest of: it surfaces MOT advisory signals (early warnings from past tests) that most apps can't, because they don't have the DVLA integration.
