There is another App already called Captioned in the iOS store. Since you don't actually add text on top of video you might consider a name change (Voice Over) or adding a caption feature. If you do the later you might consider adding YouTube Close Captioning or go further by implementing APNG as an option over regular GIF. It would give you the ability to add overlays as separate layers that can be toggled on/off for localizing or secret messaging.
Take my money! Really enjoying this app. You guys should be using SFSpeechRecognizer and doing live search within chucks of audio. It would be fun if you could pick up on the words spoken and do a live structuring of video from found relevant images/gifs.

Really well designed. Wanted to like it more. Unfortunately, as of right now, none of the Captions really intrigue me that much, and the end product doesn't mesh together in a way that on paper I hoped would be more entertaining. That just might speak to me specifically and my demographic.
What is the target demographic of users right out the gate?
The only one I really enjoyed was the one with the robot voiceover.
But I still like the media format, so think if/when it gets more popular and has more creators I'll enjoy it more.
