What do you think? …

Charlie Clark
Hey everyone, Charlie here 👋 I'm excited to introduce CanvAi.co on Product Hunt. I built CanvAi because I kept wishing for a space where I could sketch, plan, and experiment visually before sending anything to an AI model. Most tools rely on prompting alone, which feels unpredictable, and traditional design apps feel too heavy for quick idea work. CanvAi gives you a place to think on the canvas. You can sketch rough ideas, drop in shapes, add text labels, create frames, import reference images, and then transform those compositions using nano banana pro. It lets you guide the AI with structure, not guesswork. Here is what you can do: • Draw and experiment on an infinite canvas • Build frames and compose scenes • Import your own images and generate variations • Create standalone assets like characters and props • Transform everything into polished art with Nano Banana Pro • Export in high resolution for print, social, or your next project I built this indie style and will be improving it actively. Your feedback means a lot, so if you try it and anything feels confusing, slow, or missing, please tell me. I want this to become the most enjoyable creative playground for anyone who likes to sketch and generate. Thanks so much for supporting the launch!

@charlie_clark congrats on the launch!🚀 How much credits are needed per image generation? How does it handle failed generations?
Charlie Clark

@barian_badhon thanks! It's 1 credit per generation, failed generations don't cost any credits.

Xiaoguang Zhao

Can this be used on iPad? Using it with Apple Pencil would be a great experience😁

Charlie Clark

@xiaoguang_zhao hey Xiaoguang, it should work on iPad!

Sohan Patil

Congrats on the launch team! Cool features, how many credits does each generation consume?

Charlie Clark

@sohan_patil thanks! Each generation costs 1 credit.

CanvAi feels like a great bridge between thinking in sketches and finishing with AI. The infinite canvas + frames workflow is super interesting.
Curious — how do creators usually use Nano Banana Pro: more for refining composition or for exploring totally different styles from the same sketch?

Charlie Clark

@pany_ai thanks yu! I’ve mostly been seeing folks play with the sketch -> image pipeline so far!

Yu Pan

@charlie_clark

That makes a lot of sense 👍 The sketch → image flow feels like the fastest way to get that “wow” moment.
Curious if you’re seeing users lean more toward rapid ideation or final-quality outputs at this stage — and whether you plan to optimize the pipeline differently for those two use cases.

Charlie Clark

@pany_ai so far I've been mostly seeing folks using it for quick experimentation, but curious to see how usage evolves. I'm considering adding a way to quickly generate multiple variations (using the NBP grid + crop + upscale technique)

Yu Pan

@charlie_clark That tracks — quick experimentation seems like the perfect fit at this stage. The idea of generating multiple variations with an NBP grid + crop + upscale sounds especially powerful for exploring directions without breaking flow.

Have you thought about letting users “bookmark” or compare variations side by side as usage shifts toward higher-quality outputs? Feels like that could nicely bridge ideation → refinement as the product evolves.

Marios @dessign
Congrats.. that’s very cool .. all the best 🔥🔥
Charlie Clark

@dessignnet cheers Marios!

This is amazing! Chat and Sketch should always get the images generated faster and better.
It definitely should be less frustrating. Great job

Charlie Clark

@chilarai appreciate it!

Anton Loss

Looks very professional! Many creators would benefit from such an amazing product! Congrats on your launch!

Charlie Clark

@avloss Thank you so much Anton!
