I'm a tech lead, and I'm part of the hiring team at a large company. I've read hundreds of CVs. One thing kept bothering me: good people were getting lost behind cluttered layouts and generic summaries. Their best work was in there somewhere, but you had to dig for it.
I've been on the other side too. Dozens of applications, each one another copy of my CV, another job ad open in a tab, and no real idea which version I'd sent where. Candid came out of both halves of that.
It works like this. You write your career down once. Then, for each job you apply to, Candid fits it into a CV, checks it against the actual job ad, and helps with the cover letter. Everything for one job stays together, so you always know what you sent and where it stands.
Job hunting is stressful enough. I didn't want to add a subscription to it, so Candid is free and will stay free. No account, drafts stay on your device, and it works offline after the first visit. AI runs only when you ask it to.
