I’m Kristaps, founder of CalaHQ.
I built CalaHQ because I believe managing time off shouldn’t require a dedicated HR department.
For many small teams, it still lives across spreadsheets, emails and chat messages. That works until it doesn't.
Things get missed, balances become unclear, forgotten and nobody has a reliable view of who is away.
CalaHQ brings everything into one place. Employees can request time off, managers can approve it, and the whole team can see upcoming absences clearly.
It also supports different leave types, allowances, public holidays and teams working across multiple countries and languages.
The goal has always been straightforward: give small teams a proper leave management system without the complexity and cost of a large HR platform.
