It holds the shots that should breathe, and cuts harder when the song does. Drag the song if you want the video to start later than the drop. Then it gives you an XML. Open it in Resolve or Premiere and the clips are already there, in order, on the beat. You grade and finish.

So I built the thing I wanted. You drop in the footage and the track. The cuts follow the beat. Aftermovie holds a shot until the song changes. Hype cuts on the kick. The edit starts at the drop, and you can drag the song if you want the video to live somewhere else in it. Cadence then writes an XML. Open it in Resolve or Premiere and the clips are already on the timeline, in order, on the beat. You grade and finish there. It’s a Mac app, for Apple Silicon. The first 20 clean exports are free.
