I am a builder and tinkerer. I have been plagued with a series of changing hobbies and a new passion every summer, from music (one instrument to another each year) to building the instruments myself to cameras and videography. However the friction in creating something was always there so I make things incrementally simpler in a way that make sense to me and is intuitive for my usecases. It started with a friend asking for a tool I made then another and so on. Now I just want to share what I make for myself so if you find it useful, you can use it too.

You have a folder of clips and a song. You already know the edit. What eats the night is getting every cut to land on the beat. Cadence does that part. Drop in the footage and the track. It holds the shots that should breathe, and cuts harder when the song does. Drag the song if you want the video to start later than the drop. Then it gives you an XML. Open it in Resolve or Premiere and the clips are already there, in order, on the beat. You grade and finish.
