A Mac app template for shipping a paid app, not just an app. You get licensing, Creem or Polar payments, receipt emails, notarized DMG releases, Sparkle auto-updates, and a Next.js site that sells it, all wired together and tested. Built for AI agents: Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex follow 13 built-in recipes.
Hey Product Hunt π I'm Dmytro.
I've shipped three paid Mac apps, and every time, the app itself was the fun part⦠and the small part. The rest was plumbing: license keys, checkout, receipt emails, code signing, notarization, DMGs, auto-updates, and a website to actually sell the thing. Weeks of it, every single time.
After app #3, I pulled all of it into one template: Build Mac App.
What's inside:
π₯ A Swift 6 + SwiftUI Mac app with a license window, Settings, a real menu, and Sparkle updates
π A Next.js site with pricing, blog, changelog, legal pages, and proper SEO
π³ Creem or Polar payments, with license keys and device limits
βοΈ Receipts, lost-key recovery, and refund emails through Resend
π One command to build, sign, notarize, and ship, or let GitHub Actions do it
π€ 13 recipes so Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex can add features without breaking stuff
The part I'm proudest of: licensing needs no database. The provider holds the keys and the app keeps a copy in the Keychain. If your server goes down, the app keeps working for 14 days. Only a real "no" locks it.
You build the part that makes your app yours. The template does the rest.
I'd love your feedback, especially if you've shipped a Mac app and hit the same walls. What was the most painful part for you? I'll be here all day answering questions π
