Brief Equity is the integrated workspace for equity research and tracking. Track positions on watchlists, follow a single filterable feed, write your thesis in connected notes, value companies with your own models, and follow institutional 13F ownership.

Hi everyone,
I've been investing in stocks for as long as I can remember, and always been doing my own research. Over the years I've tried pretty much every tool out there, but always came away unsatisfied.
Each one covered one piece of the job and I would always end up using countless different tools.
Data sites like Koyfin (or even a Bloomberg terminal) have a ton of numbers. But they're built to cover every asset and every kind of user. My actual research still had to live somewhere else.
So I built that somewhere else in Notion and Obsidian. I made a template for every stock. I pasted prices in by hand and they went stale. I dug filings out of EDGAR and IR pages and linked them one by one.
Models lived in a spreadsheet I rebuilt for every company, typing in numbers from the 10-K. Fund ownership, transcripts and press releases were each on a different site.
In the end I had a whole system held together by copy and paste. Keeping it running took more time than the research itself.
Brief Equity is the tool I always wanted, so I built it. It's made only for people who research public companies and invest in their stock.
It comes set up. Add a ticker and its filings, earnings calls, news, insider trades, financials and fund ownership are already there.
The model feature starts from the company's real numbers and the Street's estimates, and you change the assumptions.
Save a line from an earnings call into your notes and it links back to the source.
Your watchlists, notes, models and the funds you follow all connect, and a graph shows your whole research universe.
You still do the thinking. It just takes away the setup and the busywork.
It covers US and international stocks. Market data is delayed up to 15 minutes, so it's for research, not trading. The trial is 10 days, no card.
I'd love to hear how you do your research today, and what you'd want it to do next.
