Hey PH fam 👋
Heard about 'House in the Box'? Yep, this is it! Boxabl's foldable houses cost $50K and can be set up super quickly.
I got to know about it through Elon Musk's tweet.
It's rare to see a product with the potential to disrupt the industry. I feel this is the future of housing. Customizable, modular, and easy to move (yes, it can be towed with a Tesla 🤯)! For $50K price, it has a mass appeal and can be adopted globally.
Having said that, the present production is very slow. Only time will tell if the mechanics of manufacturing favour them or not.
What do you think about these foldable houses? 🏠 Big YES or a big NO?
Report
Container homes are a quarter of the price and you don't need to do too much to make it modular. Also, they're a lot more sustainable since you can reuse the already millions of containers made to ship the foldable house materials from the same supply line lol.
NO.

Indeed what makes these better than the much more cost effective and modular 20ft and 40ft containers widely available near-globally.. Nope
