Bookbind

Strava but for reading, to cultivate readers

Bookbind is just another just another book tracker that'll get squashed by the current winners, Goodreads and The StoryGraph...or is it? While Goodreads and The StoryGraph both have book tracking features, they're emphasis is more on book recommendations & reviews, focusing on the bookshelf. Bookbind focuses on the reader, with more detailed tracking features for how the reader feels & performs each reading session. The book binding unifies the pages. Bookbind unifies reader thoughts.

Hey! I'm Ralph, and I created Bookbind after seeing how beneficial the Strava app has been for tracking runs and encouraging consistency for me who has recently got into running (and now wants to spontaneously run a Marathon). I've been wanting to read more, and thought, why not make the Strava for reading to get the same benefits for reading as well? I don't consider myself someone who naturally enjoys reading, but I know there are benefits to it, and that's why I want to start. I also sort of see this as an antidoomscroll product, and I plan to test the marketing in that direction. I want to push people to sort of take a 180 from short-form content and start reading more. Anyways, I've been using the app for a couple days now and I'd say it's been helping me so far as someone who wants to make reading a daily habit. I'd love to hear feedback from others. Thanks!
