Alcove inspired the idea that the Mac notch and menu bar can become something more useful and expressive. It showed how a small area at the top of the screen can feel alive, beautiful, and helpful without getting in the way.
BooBar takes inspiration from that direction, but focuses on turning the top of the Mac into an AI workspace: a place for files, notes, clipboard history, web pins, email codes, Codex tasks, and quick AI actions.
