Reviewers mostly see Alfred as an essential Mac utility: faster and more capable than Spotlight, easy to rely on every day, and especially useful for launching apps, web searches, shortcuts, snippets, clipboard history, and lightweight workflows. Several say it becomes hard to imagine using macOS without it. A founder from Apparent for Gmail says they use it daily but wishes calculator results could hand off to Apple’s Calculator instead of disappearing on Enter. One sharply negative review appears unrelated and conflicts with the broader feedback.

Hi Jared, Alfred co-founder Vero here :)
Typing = (equal) will show the result of the equation in-line, which is particularly useful mid-calculation.
You can also enable query history in Alfred's Advanced preferences > History > check both "Store typed query" and "Show latest query if within 5 minutes" so that you can pop away from Alfred and come back to continue your calculation.
Use the up arrow to go back to previous search queries / calculations if it's been longer than 5 minutes.
