Hey Product Hunt
I'm Martin, one of the builders behind Bodega One Code.
We got tired of two things: paying a monthly subscription for a chat box, and shipping our code to someone else's cloud just to get an AI to help with it. So we built the IDE we actually wanted.
Bodega One Code is a full desktop IDE (Monaco editor, AI chat, and an autonomous coding agent) that runs on your machine. You bring your own LLM, local through Ollama or LM Studio, or your own cloud key. Flip on air-gap mode and nothing leaves your machine, enforced, not promised. And the agent verifies its own work before it tells you it's done, so you get a reviewed change instead of a hopeful one. It can even take a task or a GitHub issue all the way to a pull request, on your hardware, with the verification trace in the description.
Why now: last week a major hosted model was switched off worldwide, for every customer, on a few hours' notice. That's the whole argument for owning your tools. Weights you run yourself can't be turned off on someone else's timeline.
It's an open beta and free for everyone right now, commercial use included. It has rough edges and we want to hear them. Pro ($39, one-time, for commercial use) lands at full release. No subscription, ever.
Would love your honest feedback, especially on the agent and the model setup. We're in the comments all day, and in Discord: https://discord.gg/ZWbKVrhEJ7
What would make this a daily driver for you?
