PubNub introduces Blocks.ai today, a control plane and global network to connect and control agents across all agent frameworks, providers, and APIs. Blocks Network supports all AI agent use cases without opening inbound ports, setting up tunnels, changing DNS, or modifying firewall rules. For more than a decade, PubNub has been the infrastructure and platform for real-time connectivity supporting billions of devices, now, PubNub delivers Blocks Network connecting the Internet of Agents.

Skipped the firewall headache entirely and had agents talking to each other in minutes. The no inbound ports approach feels like it should have been the default years ago.
How effective would the platform be for me as a non-developer?
Also having come across such a solution by different players and the control panel being one of the hot things of 2026, how should I differentiate between different competitors?
Apart from pricing and marketing pull, I don't know how to assess the different options.
The cross-framework agent control idea is really compelling, but I'd love to see built-in observability dashboards showing latency and success rates per agent connection. Right now it sounds like you'd need to bolt on your own monitoring tooling to actually debug performance across all those different frameworks and providers.
finally something that skips the firewall headaches i always hit when wiring up agents, and the fact it sits on pubnub's network makes the latency feel rock solid in my quick test
Connected a couple of test agents through Blocks Network and was surprised it just worked without opening a single port. The fact that PubNub is putting their real-time infrastructure behind agent orchestration feels like a smart move.
A public dashboard showing live latency and connection stats between agents would be really helpful for debugging orchestration issues, especially when chaining calls across different providers.
finally an agent control plane that doesn't need me to fiddle with firewalls or open ports, just hooked up two agents and they found each other right away.
