As a 3D artist, I can confidently say that Blender is a game-changer. It's free, easy to use, and packed with features that rival expensive software. With Blender, you can create stunning 3D models, animations, and visual effects. Plus, it has an active community and endless tutorials to help you learn and grow!
Brilliant tool that will inevitably become a studio mainstay. The Blender HQ and community will continue to evolve this tool to become an "industry standard" and propel open-source tech into the mainstream rather than the fringe.
Superb piece of kit, not only because it is free, but because the community buttresses it with any missing features that other software packages may have. In my 8 years of using it in the 3D art space, I have not yet encountered a reason to use any other 3D modelling software. Highly recommend you jump aboard!
Blender is special. It can sometimes be extremely frustrating, and the UI and usability have lots of potential for improvement. However, it grows on you and has become one of my favorite software regardless of genre. It has a truly amazing community which is helpful and very talented. I can't understand how software can be completely free—recommended for anyone who likes to create stuff.
When I started learning 3D, I was using a very complex and rigid software. With Blender, everything became easier and more practical. I can create various objects and scenes without spending too much time on unnecessary tasks.
Been using Blender since 2009. The progress the guys made during this time is hard to overrate. The fact that nowadays many professional players on the market choose Blender as the main tool talks for itself.
Blender is powerful, especially considering that its model is free to download (open source licensed).
I develop plugins for Blender, this is where it sometimes can frustrate. The API has a few gotchas that really catch out new comers and sometimes things are not immediately obvious from documentation.
All in all though, the tool is powerful, stable and has a large team of full time dedicated developers that are making constant improvements
