Bitrise Remote Dev Environments
Launching today
Bitrise RDE gives you cloud Macs & Linux machines that start in seconds, the same machines, stacks and caches as your CI.
Give every agent its machine and run them in parallel via MCP, or attach VS Code, Cursor or Claude Code. Archive when you stop, restore later.

Looks interesting! How is this different from just running a cloud Linux instance with VS Code Remote? What does macOS actually get me?
Bitrise
@efpe hey Viktor, thanks for checking RDE ☺️
Bitrise
@efpe so to follow up on your question 👇
Couple ways:
it is super easy to launch a Linux VM in the cloud, it is a commodity. If you want an environment that you set up and maintain, update, change the required settings over time and “getting dirty” is not a problem (meaning you don’t need an always available clean steady starting point that is the same across your CI and Dev environments), this a solved problem and use Linux cloud VMs.
However, if you want a regularly updated (security + tooling + dependency) Dev environment that you can customize maybe just by a few scripts and otherwise no need to worry about it, and you want this for both Linux and macOS, Bitrise RDE is likely unbeatable today. (I'm biased obviously 😃)
On macOS, you get a full macOS VM, plus all the iOS simulators, devices preinstalled, all the tooling to run software dev tasks and you can choose from many Xcode and macOS versions on demand. (Test older macOS/older Xcode, without reinstalling your laptop.)
And the coolest thing is you can run a single or multiple AI agents in parallel working/coding/debugging, launching them just by a click/CLI/MCP/API call. This, especially in the macOS world, has been an unsolved problem until today.

Happy Thursday, everyone 👋
I’m so proud to hunt Bitrise Remote Dev Environments ✨
I've known Bitrise since 2015, back when I was running my own startup for iOS
developers (Flawless App). Mobile CI was painful back then, and Bitrise was the tool iOS developers
recommended to each other. 10 years later, and the team is covering every part of
mobile DevOps.
Bitrise has CI to build and test, caching to keep it fast, build infrastructure, release
management to get builds to the app stores, and over-the-air updates. Now the team
has released RDE, cloud environments where developers & AI agents code 🤖
This is insanely cool!!! Now the community can code and run agents on the same
machines as their CI.
I love how Bitrise Remote Dev Environments make life for
developers (and AI agents) simpler 💜 Super happy to be part of this launch.

@lisadziuba Mobile development has changed a lot, and fast. I don't think support for coding agents was on anyone's roadmap two years ago! Exciting to be part of this.
Bitrise
@dan_bitrise and right now you can't do anything without AI agents and you need to run them somewhere :) So RDE is very very timely
Really exciting product, congrats team! The coolest feature for me is that I can start multiple agents from my 16GB macbook air without launching any iOS simulator on it.
Bitrise
Thanks for the support @ramil_yanbulatov, hope your agents enjoy RDE too!
Congratulations to the entire team on this! The pain is real - waiting around for a local environment or a free device. RDE just makes that problem disappear. Great to see this in front of the wider mobile dev community today 💥
Bitrise
Thanks Ian! RDE came out of real frustrations we kept hearing from developers, and felt ourselves internally. Glad to finally be able to share it with the world!
👋🏻 I'm really excited about the launch. This was an awesome team effort from everyone at Bitrise 🤖 🚀 💜
Bitrise
@iambalint Thank you for your support 💛✨
Congrats on the RDE launch team, excited to see what's coming next! 🤩🥳 Great demo from Naveen as always. ✨
Bitrise
Thank you Mirtill! I'll pass the compliments on to Naveen, he really is our demo-recording superstar
I know RDE solves a real problem as I watched it grow internally, out of the friction our own teams kept running into. The gap between where you write code and where it actually gets built and tested is where most of the wasted time is, and it's the kind of thing you stop noticing because it was always there.
Seeing it go from an internal tool to something anyone can spin up in a few commands mad me genuinely proud to watch. It's also amazing to see Bitrise on Product Hunt again!
Congrats on the launch, team! 🚀
