@andym_dc Maker of Buno here ! I guess everyone realised the need for a better writing app recently, and with Evernote's change in policy, it reinforces this kind of application to be made :)

Why is this free??? This is rad. But i will definitely want a MacOS version to go with it to sync with. Charge money so you can afford to build a Mac App too 👏👍👍👍👍
I really like this. Makes notes easy and quick. I was actually in the process of making an app very similar to this. Not sure what's on your road map, but having notes automatically organized by hashtag into folders would be dope.
I really like the simplicity of the app. I used evernote, the stock app, keep, paper, and better notes seems promising. However, with any third party app, there's the question of privacy. Are the notes stored only on iCloud or on a separate server? If they're only stored on device/iCloud, you might wanna mention that in the App Store description.
@yusuferisen That's a great point.
I actually rewrote the sync database behind Better Notes multiple times while developing the app—I've been working on Better Notes in private beta since 2014 before launching last month.
I evaluated several options: running my own servers, using Parse (back when there was Parse), Firebase, and others.
In no small part because of the privacy concerns you raise, I decided to use only your private iCloud account to synchronize notes between devices. **Your notes never leave your absolute control**. They are stored locally on your device, and synchronized ONLY through your private iCloud account, via CloudKit.
Your notes are your notes. At no time are they ever transmitted to any other servers. I could not read your notes if I wanted to.
(Non nerds, stop reading. Nerds, a few other interesting points below:)
As I look towards the future, towards Mac, web, iPad, and (potentially) Android versions, I wonder how well this model will hold up, particularly on shared devices like Macs and iPads. Because you don't "sign in" to iCloud. It's just on your device.
Which is great if you have everything set up properly. But what if somethings messed up with your account? What if you're using someone else's Mac or what if you share your iPad with your significant other?
For this reason, in my head, you'll likely have to sign in to CloudKit on those devices, rather than using the iCloud account that happens to be running on your mac. And that likely means I might actually have that code running in Javscript? Maybe? We'll see. The app is pretty well modularized, so we can swap out how sync works pretty easily.
But, yeah. TL;DR—it's your own personal iCloud, and your own personal device.

I really like it and am really hoping that the dev continues developing. I could see using this a lot of he made tags easily accessible and included iCloud sync.
@mbjones Better Notes should already be syncing your notes between devices, as long as you're signed in to iCloud. It's kind of a soft launch now—once there's a Mac/Web version, that sync will be a lot more important.
