Hello fellow makers π
I'm the developer behind BeltoVox. I built this app because I was hitting two main frustrations in my daily work:
First, I was tired of the "subscription tax." I didn't want another $20/month bill just to dictate my own thoughts. Second, as someone who spends a lot of time coding and writing, I found that I often have complex ideas that are tedious to type out manually.
I realized that when I'm programming or drafting articles, I can describe an idea or a logic flow much more precisely with my voice than I can by typing. By talking it out, I can provide the detail needed to create a high-quality prompt or a clear summary, which leads to much better results from the AI tools I use.
I built BeltoVox with a few specific goals in mind:
Efficiency: Use mouse side-buttons or keyboard shortcuts to dictate and polish text instantly at the cursor.
Precision: Capture detailed ideas for prompts, code documentation, or blog posts without the friction of typing.
Grammar & Translation: A quick way to clean up my writing or translate on the fly when needed.
Privacy: Since you use your own API key, your data stays yours. No servers, no storage.
π As a thank-you to the PH community, I'm offering $30 off today β just use code PRODUCTHUNT at checkout (pay $29 instead of $59). Grab it here: https://beltovox.com/?ref=produc...
This is just the start. I'm a solo developer and I'm building this for myself as much as for you. I'm planning to add more features soon and would love to hear what would make this more useful for your workflow.
I'll be here all day to answer questions and take your feedback! π
What's the #1 thing you'd use dictation for?
