Hey Product Hunt! I’m Hassan, a student developer from Lahore.
I kept moving screenshots and files between my laptop and phone by emailing them to myself, which is slow and compresses images. So I built Beamdrop: open it on two devices, scan the QR code (or type the 6-character code), and drop files, paste images or send text. Everything goes directly from one device to the other.
It uses WebRTC for the direct connection and PeerJS’s free public server only for pairing, all in one HTML file.
I’d love specific feedback on two things: does pairing work on your network, and should I add a prompt to approve a new device before it connects?

It’s free and open source. Thanks for trying it!
