BatteryRank helps you choose the right portable power station without decoding confusing spec sheets. Compare models by usable capacity, output, charging speed, weight, battery life, warranty, and value. Explore data-driven rankings for camping, home backup, RVs, CPAP use, and different budgets, plus practical sizing and runtime tools. Rankings use transparent engineering data and are never influenced by sponsored placement.
Hey Product Hunt,
I built BatteryRank because choosing a portable power station is much harder than it should be.
Every brand presents capacity, output, charging speed, cycle life, weight, and pricing differently. A product with a larger advertised battery is not necessarily the better choice, and it can be difficult to tell whether a station will actually run a refrigerator, CPAP machine, camping setup, or essential devices during an outage.
BatteryRank turns those specifications into practical comparisons and recommendations.
You can:
• Compare portable power stations side by side
• Explore rankings for camping, home backup, RVs, CPAP use, and different budgets
• See usable capacity, inverter output, charging speed, weight, lifespan, warranty, and value
• Use sizing and runtime tools to understand what you actually need
• Review the methodology behind every ranking
The project started as a structured database of power-station specifications, but it evolved into a decision tool focused on answering the questions buyers actually have: What can this run? How long will it last? Is the extra capacity worth the weight and price?
BatteryRank is free to use. Rankings are based on transparent engineering data rather than sponsored placement.
I’d especially appreciate feedback on:
1. Whether the comparisons make the specifications easier to understand
2. Which sizing or runtime tool would be most useful next
3. Which brands or models are missing
Thanks for checking it out. I’ll be here throughout launch day answering questions and reviewing every suggestion.

Have been hunting for a portable power station for weekend camping and this looks like exactly what I needed. One thing that would help a lot is adding a noise level comparison since decibel ratings matter a ton when the unit is running near your tent at night.

@mehmetseze46236 Great idea, we have basic noise data from spec and a few from testers on some model pages, for example:
Fan noise
16 dB low load to 50 dB max (cined.com; low end is OEM claim).
would love to see a solar charging estimator added that factors in your location's typical sun hours and panel orientation, so you can see realistic recharge times instead of the best case numbers manufacturers love to quote

@rzabzcx This is a great feature to add and I haven't thought about it, will dig in and see how can add to database and frontend.

Love how the rankings lean on transparent engineering data instead of sponsor dollars. The use-case filters for CPAP and RV runtime especially make the spec chaos actually useful.
