This is awesome! Love that you highlight the ratings from Untappd, BeerAdvocate, and RateBeer. Those are helpful guides...have you ever thought of combining them into one big meta-rating system? thx @lylemckeany!
@lauralynnz That's a pretty cool idea and a new way of looking at things. I like the way that sounds but I also wouldn't want to lose the path to their rich collection of reviews. They've all been around for years so there's a ton of great comments there. I wonder if there is a cool way to do both!

Nice to get some of the backstory on the breweries, do you visit each one? Can't wait to try this!
@accomplice I wish I could say we did! We get to the ones we can as its always incredible to talk to the brewery team and work with them about getting the word out about their beers being featured on Barrel Backers. When we do, It's really fun and most breweries are super-busy places. A lot of work going on behind the scenes in order to make the magic happen and there's nothing like enjoying a great beer with it's creator!

I love the backgrounds on the breweries. The first keg story is fantastic. Have you considered going deeper?
@adamrivette: I see a TON of potential for high-quality niche content marketing. Is that being integrated into your future growth strategy? There are some pretty awesome opportunities for influencer marketing as well.
@anderfrischer We've started out on that one as its really fun for everyone to hear about it when we can connect with the brewmaster and founders. The other one people have enjoyed hearing about is the brewery's community involvement - these can be really unique stories!
Long term dream would be to create short 1 minute interviews of the breweries & brewmasters to really tell their story visually while drinking their favorite creation. It would be a super fun to make and an awesome opportunity to learn more. Hopefully we'll be able to get to a stage to make that a reality. I agree that influencer marketing is key and we are working on a couple of different initiatives to help gain awareness.
Was there anything else specific you were thinking of?

@adamrivette I was actually just chatting about this subject with @lauralynnz! Perhaps a podcast? Podcasting could be a high ROI paid channel for you as well.
@anderfrischer Great idea and we've actually done a couple of podcasts which have been fun, it's hard to beat drinking beer and talking about it while someone records the conversation! Looking forward to chatting with you and @Lauralynnz tomorrow.

Hey guys, cool concept - it looks like an easy way to try out some new beers and spare me the trip to the store...which way do most people tend to go? The individual beer campaigns or the monthly beer club?
@cathy_trainor Thanks Cathy, great question and we're actually seeing more people choose the campaigns they're excited about getting in on. Still, the rate of people opting for subscriptions has picked up lately as it's a new year and I think some people are excited about being on auto-pilot with beers showing up at their door! :)

@cathy_trainor Personally my friends and I enjoyed the individual campaigns. When there is something we really want it is fun to get our other friends involved so we can make sure to get the beer.
I LOVE this idea, but how on earth are you legal in so many states? There are really tough regulations, and can't you get fined a serious amount by not selling through distributors across state lines? -- Also, are you using a major carrier for shipping? Isn't that against their policy as well? -- I'll definitely be purchasing a few packs. Thanks!
@kacyf Right - we certainly can't deliver everywhere but where it is possible we work with licensed wholesalers and retail partners / carriers that help make the process successful. I hope you find some great beers to back and I'm happy to see you are as excited as I am!

I have personally backed a couple barrels and even enticed a few friends to get in on the fun. Is, and was, a great way to be able to try some beer that is not easily accessible here in northern Idaho. Also, it allowed us to have an excuse to have a tasting party to try out the beer we had backed.
