Many online calendar programs, such as Google Calendar or Outlook Calendar, do not make backups. Nor do they have a CTRL+Z button. So what happens if you accidentally move an event and don’t remember when it was scheduled? Or worse, if you delete your calendar? You're screwed. Until now.

I’ve always found it frustrating that most calendar apps don’t have an undo feature. Does BackupMyCalendar let me access version history so I can revert to specific moments if something gets overwritten?
@woody_robles Absolutely! We keep at least 1 backup for every hour in the last 24 hours, at least 1 backup for every day in the last 7 days, at least 1 backup for every week in the last 4 weeks, at least 1 backup for each month in the last year, and at least 1 backup per year. You can always download/roll back any of those restore points.
Additionally, for the premium plans, we offer manual, on-demand back-ups. We keep those restore points until you request to delete them.
Setting it up in just 3 minutes? I love how simple that is. Does it work with shared calendars or team calendars as well?
@daniel_reed3 Yess! The primary goal was to create a super low barrier to entry. The system works with any calendar that is iCal (.ics)-based, so it will work for shared calendars and team calendars without problems.
What measures do you have in place to protect data privacy, especially for users syncing sensitive corporate or medical appointments?
@gabriel_phillips Good question Gabriel! We use the 'must-haves' such as AES encryption at rest and TLS encryption in transit. All data is stored in the EU and we are fully GDPR-compliant.
For (larger) organisations or organisations that demand extra safety and privacy barriers, we can offer an on-premise solution for zero dependence on our cloud.
