Backstop recovers the revenue your Stripe billing quietly loses. It catches failed payments with decline-aware retries + dunning from your own domain, and saves canceling subscribers with a hosted save-flow (discounts, pauses, plan-switches) + one-click win-backs. Connect Stripe in ~10 min and see what you're losing before granting write access. Flat $79/mo, no revenue share, ever. Unlike the incumbents, we never take a cut of what we recover.

Hey Product Hunt π
I built Backstop because failed payments and quiet cancellations are one of the most frustrating ways a subscription business loses money, it's revenue you already earned, slipping out the back door.
Stripe's built-in retries help, but they stop short: generic emails, no branded dunning, and nothing for the moment someone clicks "cancel." The tools that go further either take a percentage of everything they recover or start at $250+/mo with a sales call. I wanted the opposite.
So Backstop is flat $79/mo (with a free tier to start), no revenue share ever, and a ~10-minute Stripe connect. It recovers failed payments with decline-aware retries + dunning from your own domain, saves cancels with a hosted save-flow (discounts, pauses, plan-switches), and wins back churned customers in one click, and you can see exactly what you're losing before you grant any write access.
It's early and I'm building it in the open. I'd love honest feedback, especially from anyone running subscriptions on Stripe.
Recovering failed Stripe payments feels like one of those problems that's easy to underestimate until revenue starts leaking. Curious what has surprised you mostβhow payments fail, or how companies currently try to recover them?
connected my stripe in like 10 minutes and honestly the dashboard already showed a couple hundred in failed payments i had no idea about. the no revenue share thing is a nice touch
Finally, a billing tool that flat-out tells me what I'm losing before asking for permissions. Loved seeing the read-only mode first; the decline breakdown made it obvious why my monthly recovery numbers looked so bad.
The read-only preview showing what you're losing before granting write access is a smart move, makes me actually trust the rest. Also appreciate the flat pricing, no rev share is refreshing.
