Did you know every human alive today shares a common ancestor from just 3,000 years ago? That means the person next to you — is literally your cousin.
If you could draw all those family connections at once, it would look like this 3D cone — wide at the top with all of us living today, narrowing down through generations, converging at our shared ancestors at the bottom. Every thread is a family line. Every dot is a human life.
That idea broke my mind. So I built Avlodona.
Central Asia has 100M+ people with deep family culture — but zero modern tools to document it. No genealogy app. No family social network. Nothing.
4 months. 3,000+ iterations. $2,000 of my own money. I built what 7 apps do — in one.
My grandmother passed away last year. I never recorded her stories. That pain became this product. Now her profile lives on Avlodona — and in 20, 30, maybe 100 years, my grandchildren will still know her. Maybe someday they'll find me there too.
"Avlodona" combines three Uzbek words: avlod (descendants) + ona (mother) + dona (seed/grain). A seed of family, planted by a mother, growing through generations.
We are all descendants of someone worth remembering. 🌿
