Hey hunters! 👋
I'm Shashwat — solo dev from India. I built AutoDev because I was tired of:
1. Typing `git add . && git commit -m "..." && git push` 50 times a day
2. Having a blank GitHub profile that recruiters skip
3. No single tool that does both automation AND portfolio building
So I built AutoDev — two products in one platform:
🤖 **Local Agent** (`npx autodev-agent`)
- Runs in your terminal, watches files
- Auto-commits + auto-pushes with smart debouncing
- Zero config, no install needed
🌐 **Cloud Platform** (autodev-kappa.vercel.app)
- GitHub profile analyzer: score/100, languages, activity graph, streak stats
- Free README Generator: 3 styles (Professional/Minimal/Recruiter)
- Shareable badge + leaderboard
- 100% free, no login, no database (live GitHub API)
**Stack:** Next.js 14, Tailwind, Sharp (SVG→PNG OG images), Vercel free tier
**Agent:** 600+ npm downloads/week
No VC, no team, just code. Would love your feedback and upvotes! 🚀

How does it actually decide what to commit without you being involved? Kind of nervous about it pushing messy WIP code or making the commit history noisy on shared repos.

Caught a sketchy commit pattern in my repo I had no idea about, saved me from a bad code review. Worth checking out if you actually look at your git history.

The auto-commit feature actually helped me fill in some gaps in my contribution graph without feeling spammy. Surprised at how clean the profile analysis report is.

Finally tried AutoDev and the auto-analyze feature actually gave me useful insights about my commit patterns instead of generic stats. The auto-push flow felt seamless too.

Finally a tool that just handles the boring commit stuff without me thinking about it. Surprised how clean the profile analysis view is, made me notice a couple repos I'd basically forgotten about.

love how clean the github profile graph looks after letting it run for a while, the commit history ends up reading like a real logbook instead of a messy wall. solid execution.
