Hello Product Hunt! 👋
I'm the maker of AuthZ Pro.
Most authenticator apps are built strictly for mobile phones, forcing you to pick up your phone every time you login to a service on your computer. I wanted a desktop authenticator that was incredibly fast, beautifully designed, and most importantly, secure and private.
That's why I built AuthZ Pro. It runs directly as a browser extension so your 2FA codes are always just a click away on your PC.
🔒 Why is it secure?
Zero Tracking: We collect absolutely no metrics, analytics, or user telemetry.
Local-first: Your secret keys stay in your browser. We never run servers that host your data.
Argon2 Vault Encryption: Your keys are encrypted locally using Argon2 key derivation and AES encryption.
End-to-End Encrypted Sync: You can sync your data via Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive. The vault is encrypted before it ever leaves your browser.
🎮 Additional Features
Scan QR codes directly from your active browser tab.
Supports standard TOTP/HOTP alongside custom Steam Guard and Battle.net codes.
12 clean themes with automatic dark mode support.
AuthZ Pro is 100% free, MIT licensed, and open source. I'd love to hear your feedback, feature requests, or questions!

How does the encrypted cloud sync actually work if the vault is locally encrypted with Argon2, and is there any cap on how many entries I can store before it starts hurting performance?
Report
Local encryption with Argon2 is a nice touch, glad the codes don't sit in plaintext. The Steam and Battle.net support is what sold me since most 2FA tools skip those.

Argon2 vault encryption is a nice touch, and I like that it covers Steam and Battle.net alongside standard TOTP. Syncing feels snappy too.

Finally a 2FA extension that handles Steam Guard without weird workarounds. The Argon2 vault gives me peace of mind.
