Auraly helps you understand ingredients in food and personal care products by simply scanning the label. Unlike existing apps, Auraly works with labels in any language, uses a cautious public-health framework to assess risk, and adapts to your personal preferences (like allergens or ingredients you want to avoid). It’s designed to be calm, clear, and practical, so you can make everyday choices with confidence.

Hi everyone, I'm Dave, the founder of Auraly 👋
Ever stand in a store abroad, staring at an ingredient label you can't read, wondering if it's safe for you? Or try to decode what "Butylphenyl Methylpropional" actually is in the product you use every day? Most ingredient scanner apps can't handle multiple languages, rely on outdated databases, or use fear-based scoring that doesn't help you make practical decisions.
So I built Auraly to solve this.
A few years ago, my father was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Watching his decline was a painful wake-up call that pushed me to pay closer attention to my own health, starting with what I eat and personal care products I put on my body. I'd stand in grocery aisles, trying to make sense of labels, but the information was scattered, technical, and often in languages I didn't speak when traveling. I tried every scanning app I could find, but they were either limited to one product category, only worked in English, or gave alarmist scores without real context.
I wanted something calmer, smarter, and more useful.
Auraly lets you scan real-world ingredient labels for food and personal care products in any language 🌍 It uses AI to analyze ingredients dynamically and adapts the results to what you personally care about—whether that's allergens, specific ingredient concerns, or general sensitivity. The app itself supports multiple display languages, so you get clarity no matter where you are or what language the label is in.
Here's what makes it different:
Scan in any language – Traveling in Japan or Germany? No problem. Auraly reads and translates on the spot
Personalized insights – Set your preferences once, and every scan adapts to what matters to you
No fear-mongering – Clear, balanced information without alarmist scoring
Mobile-optimized – Built for real life: quick scans in store aisles, not just at home
For launch week, everyone gets 7 days of Auraly+ free—unlimited scans, full scan history, and complete personalization 🎁 After that, it's $4.99/month to keep Auraly+, or you can stick with Auraly Basic (5 free scans per month).
I'd love for you to try it and tell me what's working and what's not. I'm especially curious about:
Which ingredient explanations feel unclear or unhelpful
Features you wish existed
How (or if) the app fits into your routine
Drop me a note on the Help & Feedback page in the app. Mention code PH2026 and I'll extend your Auraly+ access as a thank you 💚 I personally read and respond to every message.
Thank you so much for being here and for checking out Auraly! 🍃
Love the focus on calm, evidence-based guidance. How do you handle differences in regulatory standards across countries when assessing ingredient risk?
