Async is a communication tool for small teams of software engineers. Async integrates with your GitHub repos to track all issues and pull requests. Unlike chat apps, Async encourages long-form, thread-based, asynchronous discussions and uninterrupted work.

Hi Product Hunt! I'm a cofounder of Async, a team communication tool for small teams of software engineers. We built Async for our own team of 3 engineers. We used to communicate with Slack, but we became frustrated with its communication style. We were constantly interrupted by short, unfocused messages. We would lose our train of thought, forget conversations, and feel stressed to respond quickly. Our goal for Async was to create a calm, unfragmented environment that would keep our small engineering team productive. We share more of our thoughts on team communication here: https://async-await.com/article/... ---------- Key features of Async are: - Hills: we track the progress of GitHub issues and pull requests with a Hill chart to indicate "uphill" discussion stages and "downhill" execution stages. - Discussions: we communicate via threaded, long-form, focused conversations. - Knowledge: when we bring up important information that we want to save, we create knowledge docs. - Todos: every day, we update each other with tasks that we've completed and are going to work on next. We built Async using our SaaS Boilerplate that was previously featured on Product Hunt: https://www.producthunt.com/post... ---------- Our team has been using Async for over a year and had a major boost in our productivity. Many thanks to Delgermurun Purevkhuu and Timur Zhiyentayev for help in building Async. Happy to answer questions or hear feedback. Thanks!
