Hi everyone, I’m Maynard, a solo founder from New Zealand.

Article 50 of the EU AI Act says people must be told when they’re talking to an AI, and AI-generated content has to be labelled. Most site owners have no idea whether their chat widget does that.

So I built Article50.io. Paste your URL and in about 30 seconds it loads your homepage in a real browser and checks for:
• chat widgets, voice agents and AI avatars with no AI disclosure
• how clearly a disclosure is shown
• AI-marked images with no visible label
It also tells you what it couldn’t check.

To test it, I scanned popular websites across 10 EU country domains. 58 of the 59 sites with a chat widget showed no AI disclosure before the chat was opened. The study is in the gallery.

The scan is free. The full report (€499) adds a fix snippet for each finding.

It’s not legal advice, and a clean result isn’t a compliance clearance. It shows what a first-time visitor sees.
