Context on why I built this. I started looking at AP prep last year and it made me realize that i was privileged to be able to get tutors because AP study tools are exorbitant Princeton Review wants $1,500 for one AP subject. Kaplan books are $40 each and there are 38 different AP exams. Tutors charge $80 to 150 an hour. If you wanted real prep across a few subjects you could easily spend $5K. Meanwhile every student takes the same College Board exam regardless of what their family can afford. So I started building. First version was just AI-generated notes for AP Calc because that's what I was studying. Then practice questions. Then I realized FRQs were the actual problem because nothing existing graded them well. Khan Academy doesn't. College Board doesn't. Paid tutors do, but at $100 an hour. So we built an FRQ auto-grader. Then added DBQs for AP History. The AI tutor came last because users kept asking questions that needed back and forth. 2,000 students used it in the first few weeks. Now we're reaching out to public high schools, especially Title I ones, to get this in front of the kids who actually need it most.
